Trip cancellations or trip interruptions related to pre-existing conditions can be covered, if you purchase your plan within 14 days of your initial trip deposit (e.g., flights, hotel, etc.) and are medically fit to travel when you buy your plan.
When you’re inconvenienced during your trip due to an eligible flight delay, flight cancellation, flight diversion, or rental home lockout.
Coverage of up to $200 if you miss a trip departure because you were delayed for 3 consecutive hours due to covered reasons including flight delay, inclement weather, cruise delay and more.
When, due to a covered event, you’re transported from a place of danger to a place of safety. A covered event includes a natural disaster, political or security evacuation.

The ability to nix your trip for reasons other than those covered in your plan’s trip cancellation coverage, including fear of contracting COVID-19, as long as you purchase this coverage within 14 days of your initial trip deposit and cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled departure date. Covered reasons for trip cancellation
- Sickness, injury or death of insured, a family member, a travel companion, or a business partner
- Residence or destination becomes uninhabitable
- Complications of pregnancy
- Financial default of an entity that directly provides travel arrangements
- Traffic accident
- Quarantined or hijacked
- Subpoenaed or ordered to appear in court
- Called into active military duty
- Previously granted military leave revoked
- Terrorist incident
- Documented theft of passport
- Felonious assault
- Mandatory evacuation due to a natural disaster
- Job termination
