When you hit the road to your dream destination, the last thing you want to worry about is a spilled glass of wine or accidentally breaking something in the Airbnb you’ve booked. At Faye, we make it easy for you to protect all your travel needs in order to enjoy a stress-free getaway, which is why we’re welcoming vacation rental damage protection to our growing list of add-on options - all of which enable you to customize your coverage.

What is vacation rental damage protection?

Simply put, this add-on protects you and the people you’re traveling with if there is damage to the vacation rental property you’re staying in. Accidents happen, and this specific coverage gives you peace of mind knowing that if something goes wrong, you won’t be on the line to pay for something that happened unintentionally.

Why should I purchase vacation rental damage protection?

With sites like Booking.com and Airbnb offering unique rentals for every type of traveler, it’s no surprise that more and more individuals are checking into short-term vacation rentals, many of which boast the comforts of a home coupled with the amenities of a hotel. Benefits include full kitchens, privacy, ample closet space, large outdoor areas for kids to roam, and much more. Whether you're a digital nomad looking for a well-designed work from home space, or a family that enjoys cooking their own meals, a vacation rental could be the ideal choice.

If you opt to book a condo, cabin, villa or apartment, you’re responsible for the contents of the home, meaning if something breaks or gets lost, it’s on you (and your fellow travelers) to pay for it. Choosing to purchase vacation rental damage protection provides you with financial protection just in case something goes wrong. This could include a mirror you accidentally bumped into that fell off the wall and shattered, or a pan that caught fire while you were cooking.

What does Faye’s vacation rental damage protection cover?

Faye’s vacation rental damage protection can easily be added to your whole-trip coverage plan. For covered incidents, it can reimburse you for up to $3,000 in repair or replacement costs for the vacation rental property you’re staying in, and its contents.

Examples of covered unintentional vacation rental damages include:

  • Broken dishes, furniture, windows or doors
  • Damaged electronics or appliances
  • Internal fire damage
  • Stained rugs, carpets, sheets or floors
